Dash is popular in Venezuela
In fact, according to DiscoverDash, there are already 2,445 merchants accepting Dash in Venezuela. Dash is nothing new in Venezuela.
In 2016, the total number of Bitcoin traded via LocalBitcoins was 8624, a 318.8 percent increase over the previous year that coincided with Venezuela’s annual inflation rate reaching as high as 500 percent. In 2017, the total number of BTC traded on LocalBitcoins rose again, ramping up to 21,556 — a 150 percent increase over 2016’s total. Given that Bitcoin itself became more expensive in 2017 — rising to $19,000 in December — this expansion offers a stark indication of just how sought-after Bitcoin and crypto had become, as inflation surged to yet another peak of 1,369 percent, according to figures released by the opposition-led Venezuelan parliament.

The Dash movement is spreading and growing fast in Venezuela. First it was food trucks and small family businesses that started to adopt dash for payments, now we’re attracting more established businesses.
KFC in Venezuela loves chicken burgers
Just like other countries, the menu includes burgers and nuggets. Some of the most popular items on KFC’s menu in Venezuela is their chicken burger. Here’s a quick picture below of their combo meals.
Other chains in this country such as Subway has already been accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment. It’ll be a matter of time before we see more and more countries start to accept cryptocurrency. I can also see cryptocurrencies taking over their fiat currency.
