Twitch Streamer Gains $70,000 Worth Of Bitcoin In During A Stream

A Twitch streamer by the name of Sick_Nerd has recently managed to receive an estimated amount of $70,000 in Bitcoin during a live stream by a user named ‘lightpuma.’

During one of his many lives streams, Sick_Nerd received around $70,000 worth in bitcoin donations out of nowhere. Initially, he believed it had all been a prank, although he came around and realized the donation was very real.

On Twitter, he commented by saying,

Twitch initially began to accept crypto donations during 2018 when Bitcoin and other digital currencies were declining from their height. In order to process the crypto donations, Twitch partnered up with Streamlabs. The company currently supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Ethereum.

Our Thoughts

Live Streaming has become one of the biggest forms of entertainment in the past recent years, and money donations have done quite a lot to help these dedicated streamers. With crypto on the rise, it’s not too surprising to see people donate their digital coins to their favorite streams, although this story definitely takes it to the extreme.

Have you ever donated any crypto to a streamer?
