Ternio has recently announced its very first product to be released to the public, BlockCard.
BlockCard is a debit card that enables the owner to spend the value of their cryptocurrency with a similar ease as traditional credit cards. At the current moment, the card can be used for either online or physical store locations that accepted credit card as a form of payment.
Founder and COO of Ternio, Ian Kan said,
“Ternio’s goal is to accelerate the use of blockchain and cryptocurrency into everyday life. BlockCard enables the card holder to gain real utility from their cryptocurrency and removes the notion that crypto is only a speculative Basset.”
BlockCard only supports up to four cryptocurrencies, these include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Stellar Lumens and Ternio. Owners who have any of these digital tokens can deposit them to their BlockCard account after signing up for one of these amazing cards.
Plans for the crypto debit card to support additional cryptocurrencies throughout the year are in motion. Owners of BlockCard will be given the option to choose between a digital or physical card. Those who choose to get a physical BlockCard can choose for either a plastic or metal edition of the card.
Launched by Ternio, BlockCard is currently one of the only three approved crypto debit cards based in the US. Furthermore, it’s also the only card that is capable of support multiple cryptocurrencies which gives cardholders the option on how they can continue to fund their BlockCard.
Even more so, Ternio’s BlockCard is the only card capable of real-time spending of cryptocurrencies by processing transactions through a crypto exchange.
Founder and CEO of Ternio Daniel Gouldman had this to say,
“We want to give consumers the option on which digital asset they use to fund their BlockCard account. Card holders decide if they want to buy a bagel with their Bitcoin or a latte with their Stellar Lumens. Most importantly, these transactions occur on digital asset exchanges, which helps to propel the crypto community.”
Crypto debit cards are fantastic for those who wish to spend some of their hard earned cryptocurrencies. With the option of using multiple cryptos as a payment option and more possibly added in the future, it’s hard to not becoming interested in Ternio’s new BlockCard.
