Digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash are all acceptable as a form of payment.
Launched during April 2014, Orion Span goals are to construct a luxury hotel on the Aurora space station. with the offer of a 12-night travel package, they’ve already managed to book over 26 people from around the world.
CEO and Founder of Orion Span, Frank Bunger, had this to say about his project,
“Since opening our hotel reservations in April, we’ve been met with great excitement as space enthusiasts from around the world have moved quickly to secure their reservations.”
The Aurora Station Luxury Hotel shall be built to accommodate over 4-5 guests as well as two crew members who shall assist with departure. During those twelve night stay, guest will be able to enjoy some of the most amazing views only experience in the Aurora, mess around in zero gravity environment, and also partake in exciting space experiments.
The luxury hotel also boasts of having some interesting tech on board, such as a holodeck to experience virtual reality, wireless internet and so on. Guests will be able to access their social media accounts to keep friends and family updated on their outer space experience.
Orion Span is probably one of the most ambitious companies out there, with their goals to set up a luxury hotel in space. While it’s quite amazing of them to accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment, how many people are willing to dish out the equivalent of $9.5 million in crypto.
