Founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, New York-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has finally launched it’s mobile app. The freshly released app will allow Gemini to attract mobile using Millennials and compete against other leading apps in the market, such as Coinbase, Robinhood and Square for purchasing and selling crypto on the move.

With a listing for Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin and Zcash, Gemini recently included Bitcoin Cash as one of its cryptocurrency of choice on December 8th.
During an Interview with Bloomberg, The two co-founders explained their reasons for releasing the mobile app now, while in the midst of a “crypto winter”, as many have dubbed the current bear market. Other rival companies, such as Coinbase, have been struggling to maintain business operations in key areas.
“We’re totally at home in winter,” said Tyler Winklevoss. “It gives us time to build internally, and refine and kind of catch our breath,” added his brother Cameron.
With this successful launching for its mobile app, the Winklevoss twins also set their goals towards expanding into Asian markets during 2019, and continuing to push for approval from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to green light Bitcoin ETF.
Cash apps are on the rise, with Gemini finally launching their own mobile app and Square having recently overtaken Coinbase on the iOS store. It shouldn’t be too surprising, Chrismis time is one of the important times for stores to sell their wares with everyone running around trying to get the perfect gives for friends and loved ones.
