Zcash (ZEC) has finally been set live by Coinbase as of today. Interested customers will be able to support Zcash on either the Coinbase.com website, or in the Coinbase Android and iOS apps. Coinbase will allow it’s customers to buy, sell, send, receive or store ZEC.
According to the blog post by Coinbase,
“ZEC will be available for customers in most jurisdictions, but will not initially be available for residents of the United Kingdom or the state of New York. Additional jurisdictions may be added at a later date.”
ZEC is now live on Coinbase and in the Android and iOS apps. Coinbase customers can log in now to buy, sell, send, receive, or store ZEC. https://t.co/dR1h0eqIqe— Coinbase (@coinbase) December 5, 2018
Although, despite the grand support ZEC is gaining from Coinbase, the price of ZEC has continued to dwindle.
Coinbase initially launched the offering of Zec during the end of November, and the ‘Coinbase effect’ saw the price rise quite significantly. Even so, it wasn’t able to maintain it’s momentum during the middle of a market-wide crash, leading it towards declining significantly since then.
The Market crash has negatively effected many of the top cryptocurrencies around. With ZEC declining even with it’s recent success of gaining it listing on Coinbase, it makes one wonder if they’ll continue to lower in worth or succeeding in recovering from this awful price drop.
