Coinbase Exploring a Possibility to Support 31 Digital Assets.

Crypto Exchange Coinbase, has recently announced in a blog post that it’s currently looking into listing new assets on its platform. These plans also include close cooperation with regulators and banks in order to make these newly added crytpcurrencies available for Coinbase customers in as many jurisdictions as possible.

The Company has listed which assets they are exploring at the moment in alphabetical order by symbol:

Cardano (ADA), Aeternity (AE), Aragon (ANT), Bread Wallet (BRD), Civic (CVC), Dai (DAI), district0x (DNT), EnjinCoin (ENJ), EOS (EOS), Golem Network (GNT), IOST (IOST), Kin (KIN), Kyber Network (KNC), ChainLink (LINK), Loom Network (LOOM), Loopring (LRC), Decentraland (MANA), Mainframe (MFT), Maker (MKR), NEO (NEO), OmiseGo (OMG), Po.et (POE), QuarkChain (QKC), Augur (REP), Request Network (REQ), Status (SNT), Storj (STORJ), Stellar (XLM), XRP (XRP), Tezos (XTZ), and Zilliqa (ZIL).

Even so, Coinbase does warn it’s customers that there isn’t a 100% guarantee that all of these cryptocurrencies will be added to the platform. Reasons being the fact that some restrictions could be imposed on concrete coins or they could not be listed due to the results of their evaluations. Some of these digital assets may become available only in particular jurisdictions.

Coinbase explains their stance on this matter by stating,

“Adding new assets requires significant exploratory work from both a technical and compliance standpoint, and we cannot guarantee that all the assets we are evaluating will ultimately be listed for trading. Furthermore, our listing process may result in some of these assets being listed solely for customers to buy and sell, without the ability to send or receive using a local wallet.”

Our Thoughts

Coinbase has really been on the roll lately when it comes to listing new cryptocurrency onto their platform. Just recently they finally launched Zcash (ZEC) onto their platform. With new’s like this, it’s only a matter of time before more people flock onto their platform, depending on the crypto they decide too add anyways.

Which of the listed crypocurrencies are you hoping to see on the platform?

Let us know your thoughts.
