After recent news that the fast food giant KFC in Venezuela would be accepting payment with Dash, crypto fans in Venezuela where excited. Unfortunately it seems this was false as the Venezuelan branch of KFC denied these rumors and wouldn’t be accepting payment with Dash. Although it seems one of it’s main competitors decide to take advantage of this recent situation as Church’s Chicken has integrated these payments in 10 of their 13 restaurants based in Venezeula.

Accoriding to Dash Venezuela, the Church’s integration accrued through a partnership with two different Dash teams, the Core tea and Dash Venezuela. Although, Church’s Chicken Venezuela did confirm this partnership as General Manager Orlando Gustavo Navas had this to say,
“The Dash Venezuela and Dash Core Group teams have been instrumental in helping us adapt our payment systems, staff training, and providing counsel on all essential internal and legal processes for this integration, helping us become a global pioneer franchise in terms of accepting cryptocurrencies as a payment method.”
Even with this recent success, not everything has been going quite well when the director of media and PR of Dash, Mark Mason tweeted during December 7th that KFC would be joining the group of Dash merchants in Venezuela. A couple of days later KFC Venezuela’s CEO Antonio Sampaya denied these claims, stating that both companies have only discussed the possibility of accepting Dash.
Dash went on to apologize with a message of their own.

While they may have not had success with teaming up with KFC, Dash still manage to attract the attention of another competitors instead. With the people of Venezuela opening their wallets to cryptocurrency, it’s going to be quite interesting to see how well Dash manages to do thanks to the partnership they made with Church’s Chicken.
