HTC has made it their life goal to be the best blockchain phone available to the market. Its commitment to the community shows as they’ve decide to accept payments exclusively in cryptocurrencies to promote their usage. In a recent news, they’ve also decide to include third-party software as part of this technological wonder.
During a recent tweet made by CEO of Brave Software, Brendan Eich, he confirmed that HTC decided to include Brave as it’s default web browser of choice for the Exodus.
For those not in the know, Brave Browser utilizes blockchain technology to improve the user experience and change the way content providers relate to consumers. The main idea for it’s creation is to make browsing quicker and convenient by rewarding not only users for consuming content, but also giving them the capability to benefit creators behind said content.
“Once you enable Brave Rewards, the Brave browser automatically and anonymously keeps track of sites each user visits. The more times that a user visits a site, the larger the proportion of the user’s monthly contribution is “ear-marked” for that content creator. When contributions for a content creator exceed $100.00 USD, an email is sent to both the webmaster of the site and the registered domain owner from your WHOIS information. The email explains how to verify the ownership of your website with Brave Software.”
The cryptocoin used by Brace Browser is called Basic Attention token (BAT), this cryptocurrency has recently surged in popularity after announcing its support by Coinbase to be traded on its platform.
As Blockchain continues to grow, innovators will find ways to include it in their technological products. With HTC developing their Exodus to become something amazing and including third-party software that any blockchain enthusiast may enjoy, it’s going to be interesting to see the final product. Its only a matter of time before other smartphone companies join the action that is blockchain smartphones.
